Greetings! We occasionally receive questions about National School Choice Week’s supplies. If you have received a box of supplies for National School Choice Week, and you have questions about these supplies or how to use them, you may find the information on this page helpful. How can I best use National School Choice Week supplies?
The sky’s the limit! There are so many different ways to celebrate, and how you participate is completely up to you. Here are some celebration ideas to get you inspired. Regardless of how you choose to participate — with something small involving just your own family or something huge involving hundreds of people — we are very grateful for your participation.
How can I receive free supplies for National School Choice Week?
There are two ways to receive free NSCW supplies. First, schools and homeschool groups may receive a free activity packet when you sign up to participate. These supplies include signage, wristbands, placards, stickers, and other activity-focused materials. In addition, any school, homeschool group, or organization can apply to receive a free Deluxe Event Planner Kit. This kit includes 75 of our signature yellow fleece scarves, signs, posters, banner, pennant and more. To receive the kit, you must provide details of your qualifying NSCW event or activity using our online form.
Can I purchase additional National School Choice Week supplies?
Yes. Please visit our online store where we offer items for sale in addition to the free materials that participants in School Choice Week may receive when they register to celebrate with us and tell us about an event they are planning. Participants have asked for ways to add on additional supplies. All of the proceeds from the sale of NSCW merchandise benefit NSCW’s charitable purposes.
I requested supplies from NSCW. When will I receive them?
Items purchased in our store will ship immediately. Free supply orders will be shipped by mid-January, so that everyone will have the materials they need in time to celebrate School Choice Week with us.
Why did I receive a box of free NSCW supplies?
We send free supplies to schools, homeschool groups and organizations who meet one of the following criteria: you, or someone at your organization or school, specifically requested the supplies from us by replying to an email, mailing, or fax; you have participated in NSCW in the past and have not opted out of receiving supplies, or an organization that supports your work asked us to send you supplies. Please note: these supplies are completely free, and we encourage and invite you to keep them! If you still feel that you have received this free gift in error, please refer to our supply information and return page for instructions.
Can I return my box of supplies?
We encourage and invite you to keep the supplies and enjoy them! They are completely free, and there are so many ways to participate. Don’t feel pressured to plan a big event or activity with the supplies; simply handing out scarves and other materials to your friends, coworkers, and family members can go a long way towards raising awareness of opportunity in education! Purchases in our online store are not eligible for return but you may cancel your order within 24 hours of placing it by emailing participation@nscwmainstage.wpengine.com or calling 415-795-8176.
